Charles Maggart married Lena Burwell and soon after inherited a large farm between Milan and Browning, Missouri. The farm made him a wealthy man. Charles was president of the bank in Milan. He had an electric power plant on his farm. He fathered five children. His twin boys were killed in a drowning accident. ²²⁸
