OBITUARY
PAINT TOWNSHIP NATIVE
Mrs. Elizabeth MANGES was a daughter of John and Catherine (SEESE) WEAVER and was born in Paint Township on June 24, 1864. Her husband, Joseph MANGES, a well-known Shade township farmer, passed away on February 13, 1937. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Ada MANGES, residing in Minnesota; Mrs. Lizzie BLOUGH, Stoystown; John MANGES, Hooversville R.D .2; Mrs. Lydia ANDERSON, Dearborn, Mich.; David MANGES, at home, and Mrs. Stella SHAFFER, Akron, O. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John Hoffman, Scalp Level, and a brother, Jacob WEAVER , Duquesne. Mrs. MANGES was an active member of the Cairnbrook Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon. Brief services will be held at the home at 2:30 o'clock, followed by additional rites at 3 o'clock , in the Cairnbrook Lutheran Church by Rev. Edwin CLAPPER. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery at Scalp Level under the direction of C. E. Brumbaugh, Central City mortician.

MRS. MANGES DIES FOLLOWING CRASH OF 2 AUTOMOBILES
Hooversville R.D.2 Woman Victim of Accident Near Pittsburgh
HOOVERSVILLE - Mrs. Elizabeth (WEAVER) MANGES, 77, of Hooversville R.D.2 died yesterday morning in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, the result of injuries suffered last Thursday afternoon in an automobile collison west of Pittsbugh. Mrs. MANGES suffered injuries to the chest. Death was attributed to a pulmonary embolism. Mrs. MANGES, her son, David and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. John MANGES, all of Hooversville R.D.2 , were enroute to Akron, O, to visit the former's daughter, Mrs. Stella SHAFFER, when the car operated by David Mange s collided with a machine driven by John SCHMITT of Hustontown, Pa. Mrs. John MANGES suffered minor bruises. Neither driver was injured.
