Freda Weaver is 90 years old
Freda Weaver of 152 Macridge Ave. celebrated her 90th birthday anniversary with a party at a son's residence. Mrs. Weaver was born July 26, 1898, in Scalp Level, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Shumaker, Her husband, Warren P., is deceased. She is a member of the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Weaver is the mother of four children -- Frances Garman, Colver, and Warren E., Joan Jessell and Robert, all of Richland. There are seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A grandchild is deceased.

Weaver to note 92nd
Mrs. Freda Weaver will celebrate her 92nd birthday on Friday. She was born in 1898 in Paint Township, daughter of C.C . and Ida Shumaker. She attended the Paint schools, Indiana Normal School and later taught in the Paint School system for six years. She was married to Warren Weaver until his death in 1985, and they are the parents of four children: Frances, wife of Bruce Garman; Warren, married to the former Jeannette Bostock; Joan, widow of Lou Jessell; and Robert, married to the former Liz Sterle. There are 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The Weavers were active members of the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, where they served as deacons.

WEAVER - Freda M., 94, Church of the Brethren Home, died March 28, 1993, at Windber Hospital. Born July 26, 1898, in Scalp Level, daughter of Christian and Ida (LEHMAN) SHUMAKER . Preceded in death by parents; husband, Warren P. WEAVER ; son-in-law, Louis JESSELL; grandson, Thomas JESSELL; brothers, Austin, Russell, Curtis and Paul; and sister, Harriet. Survived by these children: Frances, wife of Bruce GARMAN , Colver; and Warren E., married to former Jeanette BOSTOCK ; Joan, widow of Louis JESSELL; and Robert, married to former Elizabeth STERLE, all of Richland Township; also 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Mary WINGARD, California; also survived by sister-in-law, Erma SHUMAKER, Richland Township; and companion, Nancy SKROUT. Member of Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, where she served as deaconess. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m . Monday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Friends also received from 10 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Lee Weaver. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
