OBITUARY -- Dr. Starbuck M. Stiles
Dr. Starbuck M. Stiles, age 52, of Malvern, died Monday night in the Hot Spring County Medical Center after suddenly becoming ill at his home. He was born on November 14, 1952, in Malvern to Reece and Patricia Anne Delaney Stiles. Reared and receiving his early education in Magnet Cove, he was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 1983. He established a clinic in Hot Springs and practiced there for a number of years prior to moving to Malvern, subsequently opening a business here. Starbuck was a Methodist by denomination. He was a devoted father to his two children, Averee and Aubree Stiles, both of Malvern. He is also survived by his father, Reece Stiles, and his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Donald Tanner, all of Malvern. Starbuck leaves behind a special friend, Robin Day.
His mother, Patricia, preceded him in death on March 7 of this year.
A memorial service will be held at ten o'clock on Thursday morning, October 6, 2005, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Reverend Jan Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at the mortuary following the service.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the children's programs at First United Methodist Church, or the Lono Cemetery Fund.
The family will be at the home of Reece Stiles, 401 Heritage, Malvern.
