Mrs. Henrietta Bunse (sic), Resident of This County Since 1874, Dies.
Mrs. Henrietta Bunse, age within 20 days of 94 years, died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Mrs. V.H. Rowley, in Lyons, Friday morning, October 9th, just as she was about to partake of her breakfast.
Mrs. Bunse was born in Pike County, Ohio October 25, 1831. At the age of 21 she was married to Andrew Emanuel with whom she settled in Boulder County, Colorado, in 1874, tasting the hardships of pioneer life, especially so as she was soon left a widow with five children to battle alone.
In 1885 she was joined in marriage to Mr. Joseph Bunse, who was called from her by death in 1910. Soon after she came to Lyons and made her home with her daughter until called last Friday.
Mrs. Bunse has been a patient sufferer from total blindness and almost deaf for some five years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church from young womanhood and died in that faith.
She leaves a son, William H. Emanuel of Kimberly, Idaho, and her daughter, Mrs. V.H. Rowley of this city to cherish the memory of a kind, patient and God fearing mother, and many relatives and friends to mourn with them. 1606
