Death of James Truitt; Killed by a Blast on the new Jamestown Road
Last Saturday James Truitt was leaving work on the new Jimtown road between Springdale and Jamestown. He had not been.........of a blast.....had been fired some distance ........When he was passing, .......knocking him senseless. He was barely alive and died yesterday at two o'clock. He had a family of 3 children living at Altona. Thedeceased was 58 years old and is well known all over the county. The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at Jamestown. The...clearly caused by negligence....the other workmen." 1607
