General Notes: Conan had to face several revolts from his own nobles. To sustain the unrest, the duke appealed to the help of king Henry II of England, who, in return, demanded the engagement of Conan's only daughter and heiress Constance with his son Geoffrey Plantagenet. 1688 Life Events: 1. Deposed: Earl or Rickmond, 1166. 1688 Conan married Margaret of Huntingdon Countess of Hereford, Duchess of Brittany, daughter of Henry Earl of Huntingdon & Northumberland and Gundred Adelaide de Warren Countess, in 1160.1688 (Margaret of Huntingdon Countess of Hereford, Duchess of Brittany was born circa 1140,1688 died in 1201 1688 and was buried in Sawtrey Abbey, Hunts 1688.) |
