Humphrey de Bohun 1688
General Notes: Humphrey (d. 1182) was sometimes called Earl of Hereford after the failure of the male line in his mother's family, but was never formally installed as earl. He married Margaret, daughter of Henry, Earl of Huntingdon (who was a son of David, King of Scotland). Since he died before his father, the family lands were inherited by his son Henry de Bohun, 1st Earl of Hereford. 1688 Life Events: 1. Occupation: Constable of England. 1688 Humphrey married Margaret of Huntingdon Countess of Hereford, Duchess of Brittany, daughter of Henry Earl of Huntingdon & Northumberland and Gundred Adelaide de Warren Countess. (Margaret of Huntingdon Countess of Hereford, Duchess of Brittany was born circa 1140,1688 died in 1201 1688 and was buried in Sawtrey Abbey, Hunts 1688.) |
