Stan Brinker ¹⁶⁵⁸

  General Notes:

While Stan was serving in the Air Force stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and Andrews AF Base, the family saw history being made first hand. Sightings of President's Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and George Bush were part of living in the area. Working as a procurement officer Stan had been chief of contracts for the Air Force's F-15 fighter plane and AF representative to the F-16 consortium consisting of U.S., Belgium, Denmark, and Norway. He also worked on the Star Wars Program that eventually brought down the Berlin Wall. Seeing the
Russian Flag and the American Flag fly side by side during the meetings of Gorbachev and President Reagan was quite a sight to adults who were raised during the cold war. Going to Inagural Parades and the stories you learn living next door to some of the men on the Presidential Secret Service staff and the Presidential pilot for Air Force One gave us a different prospective. Keith's wife, Kristin was in the Pentagon working when terrorist hit it on Sept. 11, 2001. Stan is presently working with NASA on the replacement of the current Space Shuttle, and they live in Bradenton, FL. ¹⁶⁵⁸
