OBITUARY
Died, at his home 2 1/2 miles north of Kaseyville on July the 4th, at 6 o'clock p.m., of dropsy, Uncle Green Buster, aged 71 years, 9 months and a few days. He was one of the first settlers of Macon County. Born in Kentucky in the year 1822 and moved with his parents to Macon county, Mo. when eight yeary old. Was twice married, first at the age of 20, to Serena Summers, who died 17 years ago. To them were born three children. I. Jeff of Marceline, Johnie of Moberly and Johnson Buster of Morrow township. His second marriage was to Mrs. Blair, some 10 or 12 years ago. She is still living. He was a consistent member of the Christian church for 48 years. Often expressed himself ready and willing to die. He was a great sufferer, has been sick for two years and confined to his room almost constantly for one year. He bore his suffering with christian fortitude, was a good husband and father and beloved and respected by all. He was buried at Antioch cemetery on the 5th of July, surrounded by a large concourse of friends and relatives. Rev. Mayhew of Callao conducted the funeral exercises. The family and friends have the sympathy of the entire community. N. C.
