Joseph received a warrant for 187 acres, 19 perches & allowances, from Pennsylvania on August 27, 1766. The land was surveyed for him on April 18, 1767 and was bounded on one side by his own 100 acres purchased at auction with a house on it and on the other side by the land of George Robinson. He willed that his 3 sons share equally in his estate, with the 2 who got his land agreeing to pay to the third son a proportionate amount. John and William shared the land and paid to Joseph the necessary amount. ![]()
1. Occupation: Blacksmith. ![]() Joseph married Mary Steall on 11 Jan 1732 in Newtownbarry, Wexford, Leinster, Ireland.220 (Mary Steall was born in Newtownbarry, Wexford, Leinster, Ireland, died in 1786 and was buried in 1786.)
