I ran across a black and white photo of downtown Bridgeville, Delaware at a yard sale. It appears to be from around the year of 1940 based on the vehicles in the photo. The thing that caught my attention is the business of "William B. Truitt Produce". When I googled it it came up with this website in a family tree. My husband David is the great-great grandson of Jonas Nathaniel Ross, 1844-1883 and Lavinia J. Drummond-Ross, 1845-. Family records indicate there is a generation missing, but that the family line continues with a descendant (grandchild?) of the Rev. George V Aeneas Ross, 5th Laird Ross, 1676-1753. Information found here has been interesting and most helpful.

My Mother's maiden name was Yates. Her father was Clarench Herbert Yates (1988) (Sr), Her grandfather was Albert Newton Yates (1852) Her Great Gandfather was Arthur Yates (1802) her Great Great Grandfather was William Yates.

The tombstone of the Rev. Elijah Truitt had been repaired this summer. Either by vandals or by natural causes, it has falled over and is broken again in a different spot. The stone for his third wife Elizabeth Bowdle Truitt is also flat on the ground, but is not broken.
