OBITUARY
James E. Key, 70, Kansas City in Clay County, died June 7, 1987, at North Kansas City Hospital. He was born in Hodge in Lafayette County, Missouri, and had lived in this area since 1941. Mr. Key was a machinist for the Crown Zellerbach Company and retired nine years ago. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Harlem Baptist Church. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Jennie Key of the one; a son, James Key, Aurora, Colorado; a daughter, Joyce Hackett, Kansas City; two brothers, Charles Key, Grandview, and LeRoy Key, Waverly, Missouri; two sisters, Margaret Carter, Grandview, and Lola Saari, Kansas City, three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Newcomer's White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contribution to cancer research at the North Kansas City Hospital.
