OBITUARY - Steve Atkins Dies Suddenly, Jan 23, in Mexico
Jake Atkins received the sad news Saturday morning of the sudden death of his son, Steve. Steve was in the Real Estate business in Santa Maria, Calif., and he and his partner had gone into Mexico, Friday to complete a business mission, and he was found dead by his partner when he went to awaken him earlier in the morning.
Steve O. son of Jake and Dora B. Atkins was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico, on August 20, 1917. He spent several years in Browning where he attended school, later the family moved back to Tucumcari and Albuquerque.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Steve lives to mourn his passing, his wife, two sons and a daughter in Santa Maria, Calif., his father, Jake Atkins, Browning, his sister, Mrs. Gladys Vaughn, two brothers, Verl and Von Aktins, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Services and interment was in Santa Maria.
