Reuben Minnich 406
General Notes: Reuben and Nancy lived near Covington Ohio when first married. Reuben worked some for his father-in-law on his farm and as a butcher. From the proceeds of Nancy's inheritance from her parents (Aaron died in 1872 and Melvina, her mother, in 1883) they purchased a farm in Union Township, Indiana (Delaware County) on the "Shideler Road"; which constitutes the border between Union and Hamilton Townships. This farm was near the intersection of Shideler Road and Schaefer Road. The Minnichs were neighbors of the Daniel F. Studebaker family, and the John and William Snider families. Sometime later Reuben and his family moved to the small farm near "Dogtown"; where his daughter Viola, her husband Russell McKinley, and their family lived for many years. Reuben married Nancy Frances Boggs, daughter of Aaron Boggs and Melvina Hitt, on 20 Jul 1870.406 (Nancy Frances Boggs was born on 2 May 1850 in Covington, Miami, Ohio, USA,406 died on 16 Jun 1887 in Newberry Township, Miami, Ohio, USA 406 and was buried in Highland Cemetery (Covington, Miami, Ohio, USA) 406.)
